Halstead Chamber of Commerce is an organization made up of community business members and individuals. The Chamber members improve the quality of life in Halstead with their membership to the Chamber and by additional sponsorship to insure the events are a success in Halstead. Halstead is a small town with many businesses that make it possible for residents to shop, dine and find the service they need where they live including a grocery store, hardware stores, boutique, liquor store, interior decorating store, butcher, floral shops, computer repair, banks, insurance agency, hotel, post office, real estate offices, chiropractic care, dental care and medical office. Restaurants include Kaleo Cafe, D'Angelo's Pizza, Subway and Golden Harvest. Civic Organizations include Senior Center, Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and American Legion among others. There are also several churches including First United Methodist, First Mennonite, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead Baptist Church, Crossroads Community Church and First Presbyterian Church. 

Attractions include the Kansas Learning Center for Health, The Old Hardware Store, Halstead Public Library, The Halstead Historical Society and Depot, Pine Park Memorial, Scout Park and Riverside Park.
